Vic Baueris

Vic has extensive experience in the fields of corruption prevention and investigation, probity auditing and advice, business planning, governance, investigation and strategic planning.

He worked in the NSW public sector as a Principal at the Independent Commission Against Corruption and the NSW Police Force where his roles included leading the Intelligence Unit and Fraud Squad. The following summarises the areas of experience and expertise that Vic brings to the Procure Group.

Probity Advice

  • Numerous major state developments whilst with ICAC
  • Contributor to several ICAC advisory publications
  • Numerous probity commissions for NSW Health, NSW RTA, Sydney Water Corporation and the NSW Department of Planning
  • Probity adviser to Wollongong University, Newcastle University and UTS

Corruption Prevention and Risk Assessment

  • Principal Corruption Prevention Officer at ICAC from 1991 to 1998.
  • NSW Police head of Fraud Squad and Intelligence Unit
  • Developed systems and methodologies for ICAC which are still in use today
  • Instrumental in the preparation and implementation of corruption prevention plans for NSW Major Crime Squads

  • Head of Intelligence for NSW Police from 2002 to 2006
