Anthony Lee - Manager, Probity and Procurement

Procurement experience – Anthony is a director level procurement professional who has had an extensive and diverse career as a procurement practitioner. Prior to joining Procure, Anthony held senior leadership positions with NSW Procurement for 15 years, ranging from Procurement Manager to acting A/Executive Director. He has provided strategic procurement advice to agencies on high value, sensitive and complex procurements and was the principal goods and services procurement advisor for NSW Building the Education Revolution. He has been responsible for procurement processes across a range of categories, including energy, transport, fuel, travel, business services, workplace supplies and construction. Anthony was also influential in the development and delivery of the NSW Government’s procurement policy.

Probity advisory experience – Anthony is highly skilled in managing probity and other related risks in complex challenging procurements. As Director Contracts at NSW Procurement, Anthony was responsible for procurement standards, governance, approving and providing probity recommendations on complex challenging ethical and probity matters, and education of probity and corruption within the agency.Accreditation experience – Whilst at NSW Procurement, Anthony successfully delivered their goods and services accreditation to level 3B, which places it as the equal highest ranked NSW agency.

Management experience – Prior to joining Procure, Anthony was responsible for 4 direct and 110 indirect staff and successfully led staff through transformational reform, providing personal leadership and guidance during the change management phase. He was responsible for leading and managing a broad operational group of governance, sourcing and category teams to achieve probity rich strategic procurement outcomes and deliver reform. Anthony also led a NSW negotiating team of technical/commercial/legal specialists in negotiations between the NBN Co and the NSW Government for the rollout of the NBN in NSW.
