Daniel McPhee - Director, Integrity Services
Background - Dan has a history of providing quality probity, fraud and corruption prevention and procurement services to a variety of agencies including NSW government agencies, local councils, state owned corporations and universities.
Dan commenced with Procure in 2011 and became a director in 2014. His experience with Procure includes over 250 probity services engagements to over 35 different clients.
Multi Disciplinary Experience – As well as leading probity services engagements, Dan has deep experience in both the procurement and integrity services arms of Procure. Dan established the procurement arm of the business and provided director oversight to these engagement for the first 3 years of its operation. As such, Dan has extensive knowledge in transaction side of procurement engagements.
In addition, Dan has recently established the Integrity services arm of Procure. This service area focusses on fraud and corruption prevention including fraud and corruption risk assessments, policy drafting and code of conduct training. This aspect of Dan’s work enables him to bring the latest knowledge of the fraud and corruption prevention industry into his probity services engagements.
Previous Government Experience - Prior to joining Procure, Dan was employed on the Department of Education’s Building the Education Revolution (BER) Program first as the principal governance officer and later governance manager. While at the BER, Dan focused on the compliance of managing contractors with government policy and contractual obligations including the NSW Government’s code of practice for procurement and the tendering guidelines. Dan was involved in the conduct, management and review of numerous audit programs during his time with the BER. He also provided internal code of conduct training and managed declared conflicts of interest from BER personnel.
